SOCIAL SCIENCE CLUB INAUGURATION

The Social Science Club of 2020-2022, Government College of Teacher Education, Thiruvananthapuram, was inaugurated on 6th October, 2021. The chief guest of the day was Sri George Joseph, Retired SP, Kerala Police. The programme was organized in the General Hall from 2-3 pm. The coordinator of the programme was Dr. V.K. Santhosh Kumar, Head of the Department of Social Science and IQAC coordinator.The name of the club, ‘Magna Carta’ inscribed on a chart was unveiled by the chief guest Sri George Joseph Sir. After the inauguration, the chief guest delivered an excellent speech on the topic ‘Adolescent Delinquency’. He shared many experiences from his official life on the subject and made us acquainted with the rules and laws, we must keep in mind as teacher educators.  His language was very lucid but humorous and the entire speech was inspiringly marvelous. He was honored at the end of the function by presenting a memento. The fund raised by the college for the treatment of Mr Ratheesh, husband of Soniya, a former student of 2014-’15 batch, was handed over to the batch mates by the Principal.
