The Birds and Rovers Club of Government College of Teacher Education, Thiruvananthapuram, took part in a webinar organized by S D College, Alappuzha on 6th October, 2021, from 6-7 pm, through Google platform. The programme was conducted as a part of wildlife week celebration. Sri Biju P B, Writer and Ornithologist, was the keynote speaker. He shared an excellent presentation on ‘The Birds of Kerala.’ He made us acquainted with many unknown species of birds in our Kerala. He also made us conscious about the protection of Western Ghats and conservation of its biodiversity. He also gave us some bird watching tips. All the members of the Birds and Rovers Club of GCTE as well as the students of the Department of Natural Science actively participated in the webinar, under the leadership of Dr Rajasree, Convener of Birds and Rovers Club, GCTE, Thiruvananthapuram.
